After you choose a file, application window becomes transparent just like in Recording step 2. (You can see through it). 4. Program plays back the Journal. (Keyboard and mouse input is disabled this time). 5. Either wait till the end of playback or press Ctrl+Break to pause playback. 6. Application window returns to normal state, where you can either press Continue Playing, which takes you to step 4, or click Stop to stop playback. (Journal is discarded from memory).
Option are available for playback. First, you can specify the number of times Journal should be played. Second, you have the choice of playing it exactly at the speed it was recorded or at a default speed, where intervals between all keyboard and mouse events are set to 20 milliseconds.
Check Play at startup, if you are scheduling KMRW to run at a certain time. When this option is selected, Program plays the Journal from from specified file. If you start playback by pressing Play button, program will prompt for file, regardless of what is in the File edit box.
When KM-RW is run for the very first time, it will display a message "Failed to load settings from KMRWSettings.i44, defaults loaded." This is normal, it means that the settings file, "KMRWSettings.i44" has not been created yet. After the first run, that file will be created and put in the same directory as "KM-RW.exe". It is important to keep it there. Journal files have extension ".i45" , and can be saved anywhere.
